Dad and Me

Dad and Me (2008)  Film, Video Still, 8 minutes

Dad and Me (2008) is a split-screen documentation of a telephone conversation between the Artist and her father. This is a refusal of authority on the one hand, and paradoxically, a need for af rmation and recognition on the other. A discussion that negotiates the politics of ‘taking part’ and their inherent contradictions that nally overcomes the clash of genera- tions, and the politics of alienation.
